The United States Postal Service has unveiled a new commemorative stamp honoring Elie Wiesel, the Holocaust survivor, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and humanitarian whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

Best known for his memoir Night and his lifelong advocacy for human rights, Wiesel transformed personal tragedy into a global mission of remembrance and moral responsibility. His voice, shaped by the horrors of the Holocaust, became one of the most powerful calls to fight indifference, injustice, and hatred in all its forms.
