JCCU Lunch and Learn: Tu Bishvat Celebration
Event Details
Join us for a wonderful, joyous Tu Bishvat Celebration as we commemorate the birthday of the trees!
Wednesday, February 4, at 12:30 we will have a special Tu Bishvat program!
What is Tu Bishvat? Also known as the “New Year for Trees,” is a Jewish holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat (which usually falls in January or February). It marks the start of a new agricultural year in Israel, specifically for fruit-bearing trees. Celebrations often include planting trees, holding a Tu Bishvat seder (a ritual meal with symbolic fruits), and reflecting on humanity’s relationship with nature!
I hope you’ll join us for this environmentally friendly lunch and learn!
